Holon creates a synthesised musical accompaniment from your activities and location data, based on places, contexts and environmental factors in your surroundings. Holon uses spacial computing and real-time synthesis to transform everyday experiences into opportunities for introspection and social connection.

At Holonic, we think the Internet of Everything should be Musical. With Holon, music is created as a result of your behaviour and activities in the environment. Holon is a passive, Zero-UI app for functional and ubiquitous music, which means no screen interaction is required. Instead, the physical world becomes a musical interface. 

    •    Holon lets you perform music by moving spatially between different locations. The type of place changes the sound (LULC feature)

    •    Headphones are needed for auditory feedback (action-perception coupling) to work properly

     •    Use AirPods Pro/Max (optional) as head tracking controllers for even further musical embodiment. Set them to transparency mode for improved situational awareness and natural acoustic blending

    •    Holon is made for outdoor use, GPS and mobile data - amount of data is low - are required to access data from your location, such as street furniture, local businesses and infrastructure nodes (POI feature)

        •    For optimal auditory-motor coactivation, keep your phone in a pocket when walking
