However, using a smartphone to record and to contact help during an emergency is often difficult and cumbersome. An app's ease of use to get help can mean the difference between safety and harm or even death.

When users launch the app, photos are taken immediately and continue every two seconds. Users can then press the action button to record video, which saves to the phone. If necessary, they can press the same action button again to immediately notify their personal contacts through text and email and then can press the action button again to dial 911. Contacts will get a link for the user's location on Google Maps and a link to the video on YouTube.
